Willamette, Oregon

Their Story

Founded in 1971 by Susan Sokol and Bill Blosser in Oregon’s Dundee Hills, Sokol Blosser began as a small family experiment and helped lay the foundation for what would become one of America’s most celebrated wine regions. With no formal winemaking background, the couple planted their first vines on an old prune orchard, guided by the belief that Oregon could produce world-class Pinot Noir. Today, their son Alex Sokol Blosser leads the winery, carrying forward his parents’ pioneering spirit with a focus on organic farming, minimal intervention, and sustainability at every step. Sokol Blosser’s wines—especially their elegant, expressive Pinot Noirs from the Dundee Hills and Yamhill-Carlton AVAs—are known for their balance, purity, and sense of place. Under Alex’s leadership, the winery continues to honor its roots while innovating for the future, cementing its reputation as one of the Willamette Valley’s most respected and enduring family estates.
